Father's Day is a great time to celebrate the men in your life. I have a husband who is caring, funny, loving, adventurous, an outdoorsman, open, honest, and so many more things. He truly completes me and without him, I would not be who I am today. We have a sign in our living room that says "All because two people fell in love" and I truly believe that about my husband and I! So to celebrate that, the girls and I bought/made him this gift:
Late Spring and early Summer are when my husband golfs the most. He has a Nike golf bag and clubs so I stuck with Nike accessories. I also just purchased the Father's Day Cricut cartridge so that was perfect for this project!
I created the bucket first. I had purchased the bucket awhile ago at a discount store. I cut the golf club from Father's Day at 5". I used my Gypsy and the hide contour feature to cut out another club in silver, sort of like the blackout feature of other carts. I also cut another club, this time hiding everything but the golf ball.
I embossed the ball using the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder. I flipped the ball over so it had the correct dimples, not bumps.
I wrapped twine in black and green around the bucket and tied it behind where the club was going to go. I left the ends of the twine free so it may mimic grass under the tee. Sorta... :)
I added the golf ball using Zots (like pop dots but not foam, just thick clear glue dots). Then I stuffed it with the gifts!
Then I picked which phrase from the cart I wanted to use. I decided on "Best Dad Ever" and cut that at 3".
I added a piece of silver paper behind the Dad to make it stand out a little bit more.
The card was looking a little too simple so I added silver brads to all four corners. I also put the saying on pop dots so it would stick out a bit.
The completed card, which is A2 in size and opens at the top:
And that's all I did! Definitely a simple Cricut project but the way it turned out really is perfect for my husband! I hope he enjoys his gift!
