Happy Rabbit Year!!!

Hope my readers enjoyed the 4 days as much as I did. This year was a different Chinese New Year experience for myself. Even though it seemed to be busier, but it's definitely more fulfilling than the past experiences.

1. I highlighted my hair red for the occasion. One thing about the hair dye job that I disliked was that the colour ran for 1 week plus. It really sucks wrapping my shoulders with a towel in order to prevent my clothes from becoming pink.

2. I've long envied people with big families that maintain close relationships. The time I spent during Chinese New Year visiting the extended family on my lao gong's side, was a fulfilling one. Sometimes, people always think that the grass on the other side is always green. From the perspective of someone with a small family background, big extended families exude warmth and vibrance. On the flip side of the coin, some others may think that so much visiting is a hassle.

3. This must be the only year I managed to keep awake until 12am on "chu xi". I think it must be because I am out of audit!!!! Or was it because of the excitement of the Chinese New Year that lies ahead of me?

4. I managed to catch a movie "Homecoming" over the weekend as well. My mom is a big fan of Jack Neo. (It's not affected by his scandal at all). It's just an average movie. Nothing spectacular. It's just a local production with jokes tailored for the everyday uncle and auntie in Singapore.

5. I'm glad my maternal grandma recognised me this year. At first, she didn't recognise me and reacted badly to me. But later, she managed to realise it's the child she once raised. And when I left, she was smiling happily.

Isn't it sad that everyone has to go through the life process of aging, sickness other than happiness and birth of new life?

Having said the above, I wish all my readers a Happy Chinese New Year...

And please enjoy the remaining 2 hours of Sunday~
